Aetna offers a broad range of traditional and consumer-directed health insurance products and related services, including medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, group life and disability plans, and medical management capabilities and health care management services for Medicaid plans. We were the first U.S.-based, full-service health insurer to offer a consumer-directed health plan, and we continue to lead the way with our Aetna HealthFund line of products, including HSA, HRA and RRA options.
In addition to our core health insurance products, Aetna offers a wide array of programs and services that help control rising employee benefits costs, while striving to improve the quality of health care. This includes case management; disease management and patient safety programs, as well as integrated medical, dental, pharmaceutical, behavioral health and disability information.
And we make it a priority to provide members with access to convenient tools and easy-to-understand information that can help them make better-informed decisions about their health and financial well-being.
Our customers include employer groups, individuals, college students, part-time and hourly workers, health plans, governmental units, government-sponsored plans, labor groups and expatriates.
Expatriate Benefits
Aetna Global Benefits, the international division of Aetna, is a provider of health benefits solutions for multinational employers and government agencies and offers flexible plan designs and comprehensive benefits for globally mobile individuals throughout the world. Our specialized plans are designed to meet the needs of a variety of multinational corporations and organizations, from companies with established global operations to those looking to expand outside of their borders for the first time.
Global plans can be fully customized for groups with ten or more international employees. Groups with between two to 50 globally eligible lives may also qualify to participate in one of our Group Trust plans which offer standardized benefits and services with risk shared across the other enrolled groups. This provides the opportunity for a more competitive price than might be received by a group on an individual basis.
